Hello and welcome to Mustard Seed!  My name is Stanley and I’ve been playing music now for the better part of twenty years.  I started out playing a six string guitar and  for the longest time lead guitar was my forte.  However as you may know bass players are not as easily come by as guitarist and so I decided to take up playing bass. And though I’ve been in a couple of really rocking bands (by worldly standards); I’ve never had peace about not playing music for the Lord.  And so when it came to pass that my roommate and long time brother Michael Pelaez and I ended our stint with our last band, Signal Core (heavy metal); we decided it was time to do what we always should have been doing which is to make music for Jesus!  In that effort we almost immediately cranked out our first song “Father Thank You”.  Now inside of less than a year we have completely recorded and mastered two CD’s worth of music. Seventeen all original songs to be specific and every single one dedicated to giving Christ His glory!

I am also very greatly pleased to say that both of my twin sons are active members of the band!  As you can see on our site Andrew plays drums for us and Nicholas is our lead guitarist.  They’ve just turned fourteen this August (2K9) and I cannot say enough how proud I am!  I started training them musically at about eight years of age and to say the least that has paid off nicely. They are both excellent musicians and the Lord is growing them in skill and talent every time we play. Very exciting to watch!

Furthermore I know Michael will agree with me when I say that the greatest influence on us both making the decision to leave secular music and focus on making music for Jesus was our becoming members of Time For Truth Ministries in Amsterdam, NY with Pastor Ray Barnett.  You can check out our church website at www.timefortruth.com .   Pastor Ray is our spiritual leader and does work tirelessly to promote the uncompromised Word of God.  In a world where Jesus is being continually disregarded as “irrelevant” Pastor Ray fights the good fight without ceasing and for that we love him greatly.

None of this however would have been at all possible without my folks and so I would personally like to thank my mother and father David Joseph and Sharon Ann Franks-Rivard. They have always been there for me through thick and thin and have always showed me the greatest love and support.  I am truly grateful to God for my parents! I love you guys!
